Privacy and Data Use

Playlist Shift only accesses the playlist data required to copy playlists between Apple Music accounts at your request. Your data is used only to prepare and complete your transfer and is not retained afterwards.

Secure authentication

Playlist Shift connects to Apple Music using Apple's MusicKit authentication system. You sign in directly with Apple, and Playlist Shift never sees or stores your Apple ID password.

Data access

Playlist Shift only accesses the information required to copy the playlists you select between Apple Music accounts.

This includes reading playlist and track information from your source account and creating equivalent playlists in your destination account.

Data usage

Playlist Shift only uses playlist and track information required to prepare and complete the transfer you request.

Data storage

Playlist Shift temporarily processes the playlist and track information required to complete your transfer.

Playlist Shift does not maintain a permanent copy of your Apple Music library or playlists after your transfer has finished.

Playlist Shift does not require or create separate user accounts.

User control

Apple Music connections are used only for your current transfer.

After your transfer has completed, Playlist Shift disconnects from your Apple Music accounts.

Playlist Shift does not require a separate user account or maintain ongoing Apple Music connections.

Third-party services

Playlist Shift works with Apple Music and Stripe to provide playlist transfers and payment processing. Use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.
